Thanks for this article is very good article. I have a great advantage. I think that would be useful to many people. Let's put it this way again. Personally, I'm glad to get to know these stories. Wishing the author has lucky and happy.

Great stuff, Devin! I copied it in the off-chance that I get another travel-writing gig, but the pickin's is slim, as they say.

Nice videos, too!

Hi Jeff,
Thanks for your comment. Best of luck with your blog. I can't think of anything better than promoting travel.

Some great stuff in here. My travel blog is only a couple weeks old, so my portion of the learning curve is still steep. Thanks for this!

Hi Steve,

Good question. In my experience, clips and tear sheets are photo copies unless you are having a face-to-face meeting with an editor. Then bringing originals might pack a bigger punch. As far as the text version goes, I think you would be better off using photocopies. Of course, if the editor is happy with a text version (probably with date and edition of when the story was published), then I would go with what the editor wants.

Re clips: Can clip be a copy of the published article including photos or the text version of the article?

My Pleasure, Joanne.

I write it because I wished something like this would have been available when I had started. If you have any other newbie-type questions please do contact me anytime, devin [at] travelwritelive.com. Although if it is a really good question I might throw it up on this site -- with your approval of course.
